Dancing With the Stars Debut
Last night was the debut of the thirteenth season of Dancing With the Stars. Twelve new stars all vying for the coveted Mirrorball Trophy. I’ll admit, I watched the first season of Dancing With the Stars but after that they lost me. This 13th season has had a lot of publicity so as expect the opening night numbers were expected to be high. Here was the breakdown of how everyone did.
Ron & Peta
NBA champ Ron Artest is the first to perform his dance. They lost points for bad footwork and poor technique. 5-4-5 for a total of 14 from the judges isn’t the best way to kick off the night.
Rob & Cheryl
Rob Kardashian and Cheryl Burke danced to the Viennese Waltz. Overall the vote was that he was dancing a bit to cautiously and not letting himself go. Score was 6-5-5 from the judges for 16 points.
Kristin & Mark
Kristin Cavallari with partner Mark Ballas danced to the Cha Cha. Score was 7-6-6 for a total of 19.
Chynna & Tony
Chynna Phillips and Tony danced the Viennese Waltz. Score was 8-7-7 scores from the judges gives this smooth duo a total of 22. One of the highest rated dances of the night.
Nancy & Tristan
Nancy Grace steps dance the Cha Cha with Tristan. She lost points for not remembering the choreography. Score was 5-5-6 gives them a total of 16.
David & Kym
David Arquette danced the Viennese Waltz with partner and two-time champ Kym Johnson. One judge said that “David needs to cover up his mistakes better”. Score was 6-6-6 for a total of 18.
Elisabetta & Val
Elisabetta Canalis takes to the stage with Val for the Cha Cha. Score was 5-5-5 from the judges for a 15..
Hope & Maks
Maks danced the Viennese Waltz with soccer star Hope Solo. Score was 7-7-7 for a total of 21.
Carson & Anna
Carson Kressley danced with Anna for an energetic Cha Cha. Carrie They were the favorite dance of the night. Score was 6-5-6 gives them a total 17.
J.R. & Karina
J.R. Martinez danced to the Viennese Waltz with Karina. The dance was right up there with the best of the night. Score was 8-7-7 for a total of 22 for a tie with Chynna and Tony for the highest score of the night.
Ricki & Derek
Ricki Lake and Derek Hough danced to the Viennese Waltz. Score was 7-6-7 gives this team a total of 20.
Chaz & Lacey
Chaz Bono made his TV debut since he was a toddler. He and his partner Lacey danced the Cha Cha. Score was 6-5-6 gives this duo a total of 17.
That’s a recap of this week’s show. Dancing With the Stars is Live on Mondays 8/7 c and the Results show is tonight! Make sure to watch because the first couple is eliminated and LMFAO performs.
I know this show is super popular, and I get why, because I love American Idol, and shows like that. But we tried to watch DWTS, and I just can’t do it. The judges seem so fake to me…I guess I just don’t like watching people dance.
