More Fears as the Stock Market and Economy Plunge
Here we go again! Turn on the news and one of the top stories will yet again be about the economy and the stock market plunge that has been taking place the last couple of days. I know, I know you are probably wondering what does the market have to do with me, I don’t invest! I don’t have the kind of money it takes to be in the market either, but my retirement is certainly taking a hit in the midst of all this. While I sit here worrying about how to get more facebook likes and retweets for my blog, the economy is continuing its downward spiral, but when will it end? I can’t help but think what affect this will have for all of us with an online business. Lets be honest, did you ever in your lifetime think that you would hear about a country going bankrupt? There are several countries in Europe that are on the brink of bankruptcy with no one to bail them out. Add insult to injury, now China – who by the way has been the only strong economy to this point is starting to show an economic slump, and seems to be headed towards a recession also.
What does this all mean for us? All the news continues to say is that we will yet again face another recession (which I don’t think we ever got out of from 2 years ago). Oh yeah and we have that little issue of our President and Congress not being able to agree on anything. Rumors are that the continuing economic slip could likely mess up the U.S. central bank’s $400 billion program that was going to be put in place to jump-start growth for small businesses. Suddenly, I find myself writing about money and finance because it we are in a major mess. Millions of families are struggling. The number of good jobs continues to decline, the number of Americans in foreclosure keeps climbing, and we all are having a much more difficult time paying the bills. Yesterday I wrote about Kids Worrying About Money – and the affect on our families during these tough economic times. Is the end in sight – not likely but where will it stop and what will the impact be on our families and online shopping? Comments??
I am not worried. A few months ago we decided to take control of our personal financial future and help people lose weight at the same time.
I make a nice income that continues to grow each month.
Government will do what it will do.
We watch our own budget.
We use coupons.
We shop sales.
My kids are growing up using coupons and sales… they know we don’t buy it unless it is on sale or I have a coupon. 🙂
